The Westland Lynx was an innovative helicopter design, conceived to replace various rotary aircraft in the British military during the 1970s, in partnership with the French company Sud Aviation. Produced in different versions for both the British Army and the Royal Navy, the Lynx served in multiple capacities and remained operational for four decades.
