Corgi Toys 1126 Ecurie Ecosse Racing Car Transporter

Originally introduced into the Corgi range in October 1961, Corgi 1126, the Ecurie Ecosse Racing Car Transporter, is one of the most desirable die-cast models of its era. Featuring two decks, allowing three racing cars to be transported, the model also features a workshop, complete with benches and a miniature vice – all visible via a sliding door.

This impressive ‘Corgi Major’ was available in two metallic colours – a deep blue (faithful to the actual vehicle and featured in this Corgi Model Club edition) and a paler blue. Both variants were fitted with self-centring steering. Production of ceased in 1965 after sales of around 145,000 – with the gift set selling an additional 90,000.
